TymeX / Data platform
Domain-owned data platform
A self-service lakehouse foundation connecting ingestion, domain data products, contracts and governance.
Illustrative flow based on the public summary; not an internal implementation diagram.
- 01
Ingestion
Batch and streaming pipelines bring source data into the platform.
- 02
Domain products
Domain ownership and self-service capabilities on the lakehouse.
- 03
Publication & access
Contracts, quality validation, metadata, lineage and access controls.
01 / THE PROBLEM
What needed to change?
A shared data platform needs more than storage: domain teams need ownership and reusable capabilities, while consumers need understandable data and consistent publication standards.
02 / THE APPROACH
How I approached it.
- Built a data mesh platform on Databricks, Spark and Delta Lake with domain-owned data products and self-service capabilities.
- Worked across batch and streaming pipelines as part of the wider platform.
- Connected versioned contracts and publication validation with automated quality checks, metadata, lineage and access control.
03 / THE OUTCOME
What changed?
Delivered domain-owned data products and shared platform capabilities, with contract and governance work progressing from proof of concept to adopted internal standards.
